Good Wood has it's roots firmly planted in the earth friendly utilization of the
worlds forest resources. The company was conceived by furniture designer Thom Scott
www.thomscottstudio.com as a means to get woods that were not available in the
USA. Whether it's Marblewood from an FSC certified natural forest concession in the
Brazilian Amazon or figured Rambutan from trees no longer bearing fruit from orchards
in Bali, each colorful and unique hardwood is personally selected by Thom for their
useful characteristics and visual beauty.
Our flooring is kiln dried and made in Massachusetts from the species we import as
well as other domestic and exotic species. Rough lumber is also available in all
